After reading the articles on Web2.0 you realize that technology is moving forward at a very rapid rate, which is changing the face of libraries. It is longer books and "quiet please". There is a huge range of technologies helping to enhance the information we deliver to our customers. Information that is more up to date and readily available.
Libraries are certainly progressing and it is good to be trained in the latest "high tech" so we can answer any and all requests.
We must also remember customers still use libraries as a meeting place or just come to read the paper.
It comes down to knowing your customers and delivering the right type of information be it the latest fiction title or the current stock market details...

Your comments are very relevant to the customers we have today. We have virtual ones that want the latest gadgets, and also the ones who use the library as a "third place"
